Preschool & Afterschool Care Director

St. James Catholic School is looking for a qualified and dynamic candidate to promote a quality and faith based educational program to the St. James Catholic School Community.

Expectations and Responsibilities:

The primary role of the Preschool & Afterschool Care Director is to promote the educational and spiritual development of staff and students in alignment with the mission of St. James Catholic School. Working under supervision of the Principal, the Preschool & Afterschool Care Director manages and maintains the Preschool and Afterschool programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience as a Preschool Teacher and 5+ years in an Early Childhood setting.
  • Knowledge of Kentucky childcare licensing guidelines.
  • Ability to work independently and/or as a part of a team.
  • Prior experience as a Preschool Administrator.
  • Leadership experience with excellent verbal and written
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
