SJS receives first place recognition in Holiday Card Display

Congratulations to 8th grader Clara Groh, who was recognized last night at the Fort Knox Tree Lighting Ceremony. Clara designed and created the SJS Christmas Card that was included in the annual holiday display on Ft. Knox. The card won first place among school/children’s agency division.

Clara was asked to create a design for the school card and she completed the painting of the card as well. She managed the entire project almost entirely on her own, only with help from Mr. Padgett who built the card frame and Mrs. Fondow who mentored her and assisted her in choosing the appropriate paint as well as helped her project the image she drew onto the card surface.

We are so proud of Clara and appreciate her representing SJS in such a positive way.
