A TRADITION OF
FAITH, EXCELLENCE, COMMUNITY

From the Desk of Mr. Black

Dear Saint James Community,

Happy Easter! I hope you and your family enjoyed a joyful, faith-filled Easter and a relaxing extended weekend. Hopefully, the short break has given everyone a renewed energy to finish the school year strong as we head into the final weeks of instruction.

Next week, we will begin our final round of MAP testing on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. It will be exciting to see the growth our students have made over the course of the year. As parents, I hope you can see that your investment in the Catholic education we provide at Saint James is worth every penny.

In this edition of our newsletter, you’ll find highlights from recent events that have enriched the daily learning happening in our classrooms. We are also looking forward to many of our beloved end-of-year traditions, where we celebrate the hard work and dedication of our students, faculty, and staff. There’s certainly a shared excitement as we wrap up another successful school year!

Looking ahead — May 13 is Kentucky Gives Day!
This year, we are raising funds to enhance our athletic program. Our goal is to purchase essential safety and training equipment and properly outfit our teams to represent SJS with pride. We’re thrilled to share that we’ve secured a $40,000 matching gift, meaning every dollar raised up to $40,000 will be doubled! If we reach our goal, we may even be able to start planning for future athletic facility needs.

We encourage you to give a gift during KY Gives Day and help us reach our goal on May 13. Please watch your email and our social media channels for details about how to access the online giving portal for the 24-hour event. Also, please consider sharing this opportunity with family, friends, and colleagues who may be willing to support Saint James.

As we close out the school year, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to our faculty and staff, our students, and all of our families. This has been a fantastic year, and our students’ success reflects your ongoing commitment and dedication.

Thank you for your continued support of Saint James School!

Prayerfully yours,

Mr. Patrick Black
Interim Principal
