SJS proudly “Knighted” our soon to be 6th grade students during a special Knighting Ceremony celebrating the beginning of an exciting new chapter in their middle school journey.
The ceremony marked the students’ transition into leadership roles within our school community while emphasizing faith, character, service, and fellowship. During the event, students were officially placed into their school “houses,” where they will build friendships, participate in activities, and grow together throughout the next school year.
Each house is named after an inspiring Saint who serves as a model of faith and virtue:
- Thérèse of Lisieux
- Pier Giorgio Frassati
- Pope John Paul II
- Carlo Acutis
- Padre Pio
- Mother Teresa
A special part of the ceremony was led by the 8th grade students, who oversaw the knighting process and welcomed the new students into their houses. As the oldest student leaders at SJS, the 8th graders symbolically “passed the torch” to the incoming middle school students, encouraging them to lead with faith, kindness, and integrity.
The Knighting Ceremony was a meaningful celebration filled with excitement, school spirit, and anticipation for the next school year. We are proud of our newest middle school students and look forward to watching them grow as leaders rooted in faith and community.
