Position Summary:
St. James Catholic School seeks a faith-filled Middle School Teacher (grades 5–8) to teach core academic subjects within a supportive and collaborative school environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about Catholic education, dedicated to student growth, and eager to foster academic excellence and character formation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and plan lessons across middle school subject areas
- Create and maintain a structured, joyful, and disciplined classroom rooted in Catholic values
- Monitor, assess, and communicate student academic and behavioral progress
- Provide differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Lead and participate in daily prayer and integrate faith across the curriculum
- Support school liturgies, service projects, and community-building activities
Qualifications:
- Commitment to the mission of Catholic education
- Teaching degree and/or classroom experience preferred (not required)
- Strong communication skills, professionalism, and dedication to teamwork
- Practicing Catholic in full Communion with the Church preferred, but not required
