Now Accepting Nominations!

We are pleased to announce that nomination forms for the Senator Joe Prather Distinguished Alumni Award are now available. We encourage you to consider nominating an outstanding SJS alum who meets the following criteria. 

The nominee must have attended Saint James Catholic School or any school associated with Saint James Catholic Church, including E’Town Catholic High School.  The nominee may have displayed extraordinary leadership, character, and organizational ability, contributed to the advancement of others and the improvement of his or her community (locally or outside the Elizabethtown area), gained prominence in his or her chosen profession and community, or exhibited vision, skill and commitment that has resulted in success.

The individual will have exhibited a commitment to the Tradition of Saint James Catholic School, exhibit a life consistent with the Catholic Faith, demonstrate a commitment to Excellence through his or her personal and professional life and promote a sense of Community.

Previous recipients include the following:
Senator Joe Prather, 2023
Deacon Bill Clark, 2024
Thomas R. Clark, Jr., 2025

If you would like to nominate a distinguished alum, you may access the online nomination form here.  If you would prefer a hard copy nomination form, you may pick one up at the Parish or School office.   All nominations are due by September 12th and may be submitted online or turned into the school or parish office.

All previously submitted nominations will be considered during the decision making process, so there is no need to resubmit a nomination from previous years.

The Distinguished Alumni Award will be presented at the annual Black & White Knight event on Saturday, January 31, 2026.
