Purple Up Day Celebrates Military Connected Students

Saint James Catholic School is honored to be recognized by the KY Purple Star Award Program as a school that supports its military connected students. April 15 is recognized nationwide a Purple Up Day, celebrating military children – their resilience and service.

For the third straight year, SJS participated in this special day by wearing purple to show our support and love for the military connected students who attend SJS! Parents who serve in the military showed up big by participating in the morning carpool line and greeted students as they arrived on campus. Purple stars and streamers greeted the students as they entered the building and a sign was displayed in the front lawn which read “SJS loves our military children”!

Needless to say, it was a fun day for all and we look forward in participating again next year!
