Welcome Sister Cecilia Rose

Saint James Catholic School is blessed to welcome Sister Cecilia Rose, our new third-grade teacher.

Before entering religious life as a Dominican Sister of Saint Cecilia, Sister Rose worked as a Registered Nurse and dedicated time to serving the Archdiocese of Sydney in Youth Ministry. Since becoming a consecrated religious sister, she has taught English, Religion, and other subjects at the high school, middle school, and grade school levels. Most recently, she served at St. Paul Catholic School in Memphis, Tennessee.

A native of Sydney, Australia, Sister Rose was born and raised in a Vietnamese Catholic family as the oldest of four children. Her journey to religious life began after she experienced an overwhelming outpouring of God’s love during World Youth Day in Sydney in 2008, inspiring her to join the Nashville Dominicans the following year.

Sister Rose shares that she is most looking forward to “living in the joy of God’s providential love with the SJS community.”

Please join us in giving Sister Rose a warm Saint James welcome!
